The Tree House

The Tree House sits in Wawona, a small community inside Yosemite National Park, about 4 miles from the park's southern entrance. The single-level cabin covers 680 square feet with one bedroom and one bath, plus a 640-square-foot private deck that overlooks the South Fork of the Merced River near the base of Chilnualna Falls.

Inside, the kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and a dishwasher, alongside a washer and dryer, flat-screen satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The deck holds a gas BBQ, a picnic table and chairs, and a wooden porch swing for time spent outside listening to the river.

The cabin is pet friendly and works for couples or a small family, sleeping up to 4. Trail access sits close by, connecting to the southern Yosemite wilderness routes, and mountain views extend from the property. An EV charging station is available at the main office for guests who need it.

Winter travel requires attention: the access road is not maintained in the colder months, so a 4-wheel drive vehicle is necessary to reach the property then. Booking runs directly through Redwoods in Yosemite, the operator managing this and other cabins throughout Wawona, all within walking distance of the town's trailheads, historic sites, and the Merced River itself.
