About Refuge Getaways

Refuge Getaways is a curated directory of nature getaways: cabins, treehouses, domes, A-frames and off-grid stays, with prices and how to book.

How listings are made

Every getaway starts as a place we found through Google Places or a trusted source. We then read the getaway's own website to pull the facts that matter when you are deciding whether to go: nightly rates, how many it sleeps, minimum stays, whether pets are welcome, and where to book. Descriptions are written from those facts and edited by a person before they go live.

What we do not do

We do not copy reviews or star ratings from other sites. We do not accept payment for placement. If a getaway closes or changes its prices, the listing is updated or removed on the next check.

Booking links

Some booking links pay us a small commission if you book. That never changes which getaways are listed or how they are described.
