Camp Tanda sits on almost 10 acres of pine forest a short walk from Big Bear Lake and about a mile from Big Bear Village. It's a faith-based camp facility built for individuals, families, church groups, and Scout troops, with sleeping options ranging from tent camping sites to A-frame cabins, tent cabins, dorm beds, and lodge rooms.
The A-frame cabins sleep up to two people and come furnished with a queen bed, a chair, lamps, and an electric heater, plus an outside BBQ and picnic table; restrooms and hot showers are a short walk away. Larger groups can book tent cabins, the Upper Lodge rooms, the Upper Lodge Loft, or dormitory beds in the Lower Lodge, which sleeps up to 24 in a shared, heated space above the bathhouse. A fully equipped kitchen and main lodge room are available to rent separately for group meals and gatherings, and the whole camp can be reserved for exclusive use by larger groups.
Wi-Fi is included across the property, and there's a gas fire ring for evenings outdoors. Guests need to bring their own bedding or sleeping bag, since only mattresses are provided. No alcohol, drugs, or tobacco are allowed anywhere on the grounds.
Booking is handled directly with Camp Tanda, with payment made in advance via Zelle. Rates vary by accommodation type, starting around $35 a night for a dorm bed up to $1,500 a day for exclusive use of the whole camp, plus a 13% local tourism tax. Camp Tanda also runs a weeklong Kids Camp each summer, open for registration ahead of time.
