Black River A-Frame

Black River A-Frame sits on more than three private wooded acres in Vermont's Green Mountains, where the main sounds are wind through the trees and birds at dawn. The cabin itself is small and warm, with sunlight pouring through the windows and a pellet stove and fireplace keeping the open living area cozy through cooler months.

Sleeping is split across two spaces. Upstairs, a loft holds a queen bed and its own half bath, lit by morning sun through a sloped ceiling. Downstairs, a ground-floor room offers a double bed plus a twin, good for kids or an extra guest, steps from the main bathroom with a standup shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, and the living room has a wall-mounted TV for streaming along with Wi-Fi throughout. Outside, a fenced backyard gives dogs room to roam, and a fire pit (firewood included) and grill set up evenings for cookouts or marshmallows under string lights.

The property is kid and dog-friendly by design: there's a basket of toys and books, board games, a booster seat, and a pack n play (bring your own sheet), plus a water and food bowl ready for one dog per stay. House rules ask guests to keep shoes and winter gear at the door, skip smoking and parties, and keep pets off the furniture. Guests must be at least 25 to book, and reservations run through Futurestay via the property's website.
