Black A-frame

Built in 2022, the Black A-frame sits on two acres of land in Wardsboro, Vermont, near Stratton, on the site of the old Henry Eddy Sugarhouse. The property holds onto that quiet rural history while offering a modern, well-appointed interior.

The house has three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, with a full kitchen, a loft, and a living area that comfortably fits up to six guests. It works for a couple looking for a low-key weekend or a family splitting bedrooms across a few nights. The secluded setting means space to open the windows, sit outside, and not hear much besides the land around you.

Past guests describe the place as clean, peaceful, and tranquil, with a design that suits unplugging for a few days. The host has been noted as responsive during stays, which matters if something comes up mid-trip.

Booking runs through Airbnb. The property's own site doesn't list phone contact, but questions ahead of booking can go through their Instagram, @thechalaframe. If you can't find open dates, the site mentions a mailing list for seasonal availability updates and suggests following Instagram for last-minute cancellations.
