Seaside Base Arari sits at 928-4 Arari, on the western coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, inside the boundaries of a national park. The site is built directly against a small fishing harbor, so boats, gulls and working fishermen are part of the everyday view from the tents, which open straight onto the water.
Accommodation is in Nordic-style luxury bell tents in two configurations: a Moderate plan (12.6 square meters, camp cots, room for up to three) and a Superior plan (19.6 square meters, two single beds plus room for extra cots, sleeping up to four). Both come with outdoor table and chairs, BBQ equipment, condiments, and amenity kits; the Superior plan adds an inner table, chairs and side chair. A management building houses shared showers and toilets, a microwave, fridge, electric kettle, hairdryer and a phone-charging corner. Fire pits and large cooler boxes are available as paid extras.
Guests staying here get free or discounted access to local marine activities arranged through on-site staff: snorkeling and SUP at nearby Kogane-zaki Park Beach, boat fishing within the harbor, and trial diving. Gear is provided for most activities; guests generally just need a towel, swimwear and a change of clothes. Evenings are quiet, with no streetlights or shopfronts nearby since the park sits within a protected natural area.
Rates run from ¥11,000 per person for the Moderate plan up to ¥14,300 for the Superior plan, with a minimum of two guests per booking. A meal option covering a BBQ dinner and sandwich breakfast is available for an additional ¥6,600 per person. Bookings go through the site directly.
