Cabin on the Ridge sits at the top of the San Sophia Range, between Mountain Village and the town of Telluride, right near the tree line. There's no vehicle access here — the home is reached only by the free gondola, which runs from 6:30am to midnight daily (later on holidays, and the line is closed October 25–November 20, 2026). That trade-off buys 360-degree mountain views and ski-in/ski-out access down Butterfly, a blue run, snow conditions permitting.

Inside, four bedrooms sleep up to 10: two mirrored main suites with king beds, fireplaces, balcony access and ensuites with soaking tubs and steam showers, a third king guest room with its own ensuite, and a bunk room with a twin-over-king bunk. The kitchen has island seating for four, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area frame Wilson Peak and Sunshine Peak. A hot tub and balcony round out the spot for watching the sunset.

Managed by InvitedHome, this is a booking-and-logistics kind of stay — expect a liability waiver, a meet-and-greet on arrival, and check-in codes sent by text after 4:00 PM once that paperwork and a card on file are confirmed. No pets, no parking at the property (paid parking nearby, details via the reservations team), and everyone in the group needs to be over 31 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Groceries delivered ahead of time are recommended since getting supplies up the gondola isn't simple. It's a high-end, work-intensive way to get properly into the mountains without a car in sight.
