Aurora Hut igloo

The Aurora Hut sits within Invisible Forest Lodge & Spa, a forest property beside the Ounasjoki River less than a ten-minute drive from Rovaniemi centre. It's one of four accommodation styles on site, and the smallest: a 12 m² glass igloo meant to be slept in, not lived in, with a ceiling built for watching the Arctic sky from bed.

A private outdoor hot tub sits just outside, but there's no shower inside the igloo itself, so guests head to the on-site spa or restaurant building for that. The hut is positioned near the lodge's Spa & Restaurant, which also means access to the Arctic Forest Spa's outdoor Blue Lagoon pool and a 360° wave sauna with forest views, plus the option of dining at Invisible Restaurant without needing to book a separate reservation elsewhere.

Booking is for one night only, fitting the igloo's purpose as a short, focused stay rather than a base for a longer trip. It sleeps a maximum of two guests, making it suited to couples, and pets are allowed. The lodge also markets itself to remote workers and anyone wanting a quiet, secluded stretch of forest without leaving easy reach of town.
