Under Canvas Moab sits off US-191 just outside Moab, a nine-minute drive from town and close to the entrances of Arches and Canyonlands national parks. It's a canvas-tent camp built for red rock country: tents sit spaced across the desert with mountain views and some of the darkest night skies in the region, part of the site's DarkSky certification.

Tents come in a few configurations. The Deluxe Tent has a king bed, private ensuite bathroom with shower and flushing toilet, a wood-burning stove with complimentary firewood, and a private deck with lounge chairs. The Stargazer Tent adds a viewing window above the bed for watching the sky without leaving the covers, while the Suite Tent includes a separate lounge area with a queen sofa-bed for extra space. A camp cot can be added to most tents for one child.

Days here lean toward the outdoors — hiking, mountain biking, and climbing are all close by — while evenings tend to center on the camp itself: fire pits, s'mores, and occasional live music or morning yoga sessions. Grab-and-go snacks and picnic grills are on site for simple meals, and bedside USB battery packs keep devices charged in tents that otherwise run on generator and solar power rather than full electrical hookups. Dogs are welcome for a nightly fee, and the property has EV charging stations for guests driving electric.

Booking runs through the Under Canvas website, where travelers pick a tent type and dates directly; the camp is seasonal, typically operating from early spring through fall. Expect upscale pricing in line with a staffed, service-included glamping resort rather than a basic campsite.
