Teton View sits in a rural residential pocket of Wilson, Wyoming, about ten minutes from both Grand Teton National Park and the town of Jackson. The property opened in 1987 as the first bed and breakfast in Jackson Hole, and owners Franz and Carol Kessler have run it since 1997. Breakfast service ended after 26 years, but two local breakfast spots are a five-minute drive away, and the hosts still greet every guest in person.
Accommodations range from one- and two-room suites with mountain views to a roughly 500-square-foot private cabin with its own deck, barbecue, and fire ring. For a more rustic option, a sheep-herder's wagon is available for able-bodied guests willing to climb up to the bed; it has no bathroom or running water, with the nearest bathroom about 30 steps away in the main house. The wagon spot is sometimes shared with passing moose.
The grounds include a lawn area, flower-lined decks, and an outdoor hot tub positioned for views of the Grand Teton. Wildlife sightings, including moose, deer, elk, fox, and coyotes, are common without leaving the property. Wi-Fi and a coffee-tea bar with a small fridge and microwave are available throughout the stay.
Check-in runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. The property is open late May through September, doesn't allow pets (though a large, friendly dog lives on site), and permits one child over age 10 per adult. Smoking isn't allowed anywhere on the property.
