Set on a wood deck field at 1,200 meters in the Kitaone Kogen area of Hakuba, this property puts guests face to face with the Hakuba Sanzan range of the Northern Alps. The stays are split between six specially developed tents and two "JYUBAKO" mobile container houses designed by architect Kengo Kuma, each unit placed on roughly 100 square meters of deck. The whole operation runs all-inclusive, and the property caps occupancy at nine guests at a time, so the field doesn't feel crowded.

Days here are built around the light: breeze-swept evenings, clear star-filled nights, a sea of clouds and alpenglow at sunrise, and bird-filled mornings. Step outside the tent and the open field becomes an extension of the room.

Dinner is the other centerpiece. Chef Shingo Suzuki, who trained for six years at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Italy, builds a course menu from ingredients sourced in the surrounding region. Sommelier Sho Yoshihira pairs each course with rare Nagano wines. The restaurant has been running this "gastronomy in the sky" concept since it opened in 2019.

Beyond the table, the Kitaone Kogen area offers a range of nature-based activities, and the property's concierge helps arrange access to these programs for guests. There's no hot tub, no pet allowance, and the site isn't waterfront or off-grid, but the mountain views, stargazing, and trail access are the draw. This is a luxury-tier stay suited to couples or small groups, priced at the top end of the scale. Reach the property by phone or through its website to check dates and arrange a reservation.
