River Spruce Cabins is a cluster of ten individual cabins strung along the Big Thompson River just outside Rocky Mountain National Park, off CO-66 in Estes Park. Several of the cabins originally stood inside the park and were moved to this riverside plot, grandfathered in under a rule about proximity to water that wouldn't be allowed today. The result is a small compound of distinct, named structures rather than a row of identical units.

Most cabins come with a private hot tub set where guests can hear the river while soaking, plus a full kitchen stocked with cookware, spices, and basic condiments, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a smart TV. Outside, each cabin has its own propane BBQ grill and a fire pit near the water for evenings with s'mores or quiet conversation. Cornhole boards, darts, and board games are scattered around the property for slower afternoons, and the riverside setting brings regular wildlife sightings.

Check-in is automated, so there's no front desk line or key to track down; door access and checkout are handled without staff involvement. Linens, towels, and toiletries are included. Pets are allowed, which is worth noting given the waterfront setting. This is an upscale-tier stay, and bookings run through Welcome Estes Park Resorts' site, with the property reachable by phone at (970) 935-2663 for questions before reserving.
